The Rupin Pass trek starts with a drive from Rohru, as you ride the unpaved roads via dense forests, it opens suddenly into expansive grasslands near the Chainsheel valley. From here you will hike to a height of 11,000 ft. After this, you start descending towards Jiskun, starting the main journey of the trek to Rupin Pass. The mountainside village transcends into thick forests of fir, where there is a massive snow-bridge spanning over the Rupin River. The next step is Saruwas Thatch, with jaw-dropping views of Rupin waterfall, the 1,500 ft fall where you see water cascading down is a mesmerizing sight. The trail that you take to Dhandera Thatch, climbing to Rota Pheri and here you will see Rupin gully and the adventure continues as you see the vast meadows of Sangia Kanda and Kinnaur Kailash. The entire trek is beautiful and the summit views are over the top.
