Chardham Yatra Package Overview

Char Dham Yatra or a trip of four prominent Hindu temples is believed to provide “Moksha” to the wandering souls. This trip usually starts from Haridwar and ends in Badrinath. All four dham are located amidst the lofty hills and the mesmerizing beauty.

Start the tour of the Chardham yatra package by reaching Haridwar and admire the sight of mighty little diyas twinkling within the river Ganga and offering a sight to behold. En route towards the queen of hills – Barkot and enjoy the journey as you pass through the misty roads of Mussoorie.

Day two of the Chardham tour package will be filled with surprises as you lead towards Yamunotri, the origin point of River Yamuna. To reach here, one needs to trek for around 6 to 8 hours. The beautiful temple dedicated to the River Yamuna offers a blissful aura and provides calmness to the minds of visitors. The area is also home to Jamunabai Kund, where people from all over the country come to offer prayers and do “visarjan” on the Divya Shila.

You will visit Leave towards Uttarkashi on the third day of the trip, the capital city of Uttarakhand. Situated on the banks of Bhagirathi, Uttarkashi is famous for its historical structures and the plethora of activities it offers. Here you will get a chance to marvel at the 6 meters big Trishul in the Shakti Temple. Situated in the heart of the town is Vishwanatha Temple, which is one of the oldest temples of Lord Shiva.

The fourth day of the trip will take you to Gangotri, the birthplace of River Ganga. Admire the view of Ganga flowing in full force and experience the serenity while sitting along its banks. Marvel at this giant white granite temple offering a beautiful sight to behold. Offer prayers and listen to the holy hymns and aartis being played as you lead towards seeking the blessings.

The fifth day of the tour will start by checking out from Uttarkashi and getting transferred to Guptkashi. A glance at the mesmerizing sight of Baghirathi and Alakhnanda coming together at Devprayag. After reaching Guptkashi, attend a blissful prayer at Ardhnarishwar Temple – a temple dedicated to the half-male and half-female form of Lord Shiva.

The sixth day will start as you travel towards Gaurikund, which is believed to be the place where Lord Shiva expressed his love for Goddess Parvati. There is a small pool of hot water, which originated naturally and stays warm all year round.

From Gaurikund, you will ascend towards Kedarnath and will get a chance to marvel at the beauty of Kedarnath Temple located amidst the snow-capped Himalayas. Praise the mighty Lord Shiva as you enter the temple and experience pure haven while listening to the ringing bells and holy prayers being offered.

The seventh day of the trip will be spent traveling from Kedarnath to Gaurikund and Gaurikund to Guptkashi.

The eighth day will start by traveling towards Badrinath and reaching your comfy stay. This whole town will shower you with the blessings of Lord Vishnu. Do not forget to marvel at the holy confluence of River Alaknanda and River Mandakini. Enjoy some quaint and spiritual time here before leaving for your stay.

The ninth day of the trip will be spent in the Badrinath temple where the Morning and Evening aartis will offer some blissful sights. Enjoy the pony rides as you lead towards the temple and admire the beauty it has to offer. Get a chance to soak in the holy waters of hot springs, known as Tapt Kund.

The last day of the trip will take you back to Haridwar from where you can leave back to your homes carrying millions of memories.

How To Reach:

  • By Air: Most major air carriers like Indian Airlines, Jet Airways and Indigo operate daily flights to Srinagar. Reaching Srinagar by flight from New Delhi is the most convenient way.
  • By Train: Jammu railway station is well connected to all major cities in India by rail. Direct train services are available from Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore and Trivandrum.
  • By Bus: Srinagar is linked by National Highway 1A to the rest of the country. J & K state road transport operates comfortable buses from Jammu.

Know Before You Go for Char Dhaam Trek

  • Do not bring non-bio gradable materials.
  • Pay heed to the instructions given by the trek leader and guide.
  • Do check with your doctor if you are medically fit for the trek.
  • Though transportation from Srinagar-Sonamarg and Naranag to Srinagar is not included in the package, it can be arranged at an additional cost on prior notice.
  • In case you do not want the Srinagar-Sonamarg pick-up, inform us at least 15 days prior to the starting date as there are fixed transportation timings in Srinagar.
  • If you wish to offload your luggage kindly inform the guide on Day 1 itself. The offloading charges have to be paid in cash to guide itself.

Day 1 - Arrival in Barkot via Mussoorie

  • Your journey will begin from Haridwar; you will be picked up by our representative and transferred to Barkot in a private car.
  • On your way you will seek the charming beauty of the Mussoorie, a beautiful town surrounded by Queen of Hills.
  • Head towards the high mountain cliff of Kempty falls in Mussoorie. Here you can indulge in nature’s big bath and water activities for fun.
  • Upon your arrival in Barkot, you can seek the small beautiful town situated at the banks of Yamuna river.
  • Check in to the hotel and relax for a while and enjoy delicious dinner at the hotel.
  • Hit your bed to have a good sleep and recharge surrounded by Queen of Hills.

Day 2 - Yamunotri Dham Visit

  • Wake up early and start on your way, you will observe the magnificent Bandarpoonch peak and bewitching landscapes.
  • Have your breakfast and head towards Yamunotri Dham, the second most heavenly river of India from where the River Yamuna takes birth.
  • You will start your 6 KM trek from Janki Chatti to Yamunotri Dham.
  • Before starting the trek, you can take a refreshing water bath in Jamnabai Kund’s which is well-known to clean all sins and protect one from an untimely and agonizing passing.
  • Afterwards, you will visit Yamunotri temple for Darshan and Pooja of pious mother Yamuna, bow the heads down to praise the idol of Ganga Devi in the revered temple.
  • Next, you will head towards Surya Kund nearby Ganga temple. It is a hot spring where you get boiled rice and potatoes in the kund to acknowledge it as a Prasad of the Devi.
  • Trek down to a small town Jan Ki Chatti and return to Barkot.
  • After a pleasant day, enjoy a tasty dinner at the hotel and have a sound sleep to gain energy for the further tour.

Day 3 - Barkot to Uttarkashi

  • Wake up in the lap of a spiritual town.
  • Post breakfast, move ahead from Barkot, you will drive towards Uttarkashi, commonly known as Devbhumi situated along the banks of river Bhagirathi.
  • Upon your arrival in Uttarkashi, check in to the hotel and freshen up.
  • You will move out to explore the natural beauty of this religious and heritage city.
  • You will head towards Vishwanath temple, one of the oldest Shiva temples in Northern India embellish with an adorable architectural style.
  • Next, move to Shakti Temple, which is known for its Trishul (trident), having a circumference of about 90 cm, according to mythology, this Trishul was used by the Hindu Goddess Durga to kill the devil.
  • After a lovely day, return to the hotel to relish a delectable dinner, and stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 4 - Uttarkashi to Gangotri

  • Wake up early and enjoy majestic views of the Deodar trees and mountains.
  • After breakfast, you will head towards Gangotri via Gangnani.
  • You will visit Garam Kund at Gangnani; you can dip in the holy water if you want.
  • Continue your journey towards Gangotri while enjoying beautiful views of Harshil valley on your way.
  • After the Aarti soak the beauty of the place & relax while witnessing the greenery.
  • Upon arrival at Shree Gangotri, take a blessed dip in the sacred river Ganges which is popularly called as Bhagirathi at its starting point.
  • Post these, you will worship Goddess Ganga at Gangotri dham.
  • In the evening, indulge in the Aarti and relax for a while witnessing the greenery around.
  • Afterwards drive back to Uttarkashi and enjoy dinner at the hotel & stay Overnight at Uttarkashi

Day 5 - Uttarkashi to Guptkashi

  • Get up early and proceed to Guptkashi post yummy breakfast.
  • On your way, you will get delighted by beautiful views of Ganga and Bhagirathi river.
  • You will stopover at Srinagar to have lunch. Enjoy a meal as per your desire.
  • Next, you will witness mesmerizing views of Rudraprayag, Ukhimath on the way to your journey.
  • Upon reaching Guptkashi gets transferred to the hotel.
  • Afterwards, you will visit Ardhnarishwar Temple, a unique temple presenting Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati idol in the temple with half man and half women, only if time permits.
  • After a tiresome day, enjoy sumptuous dinner to the hotel.

Day 6 - Guptkashi to Kedarnath

  • Wake up with the stunning view of mountains all across.
  • After breakfast at the hotel, you will proceed towards Gaurikund.
  • It is a pilgrimage pool with warm water. It is known to be the place where Lord Shiva finally admitted His love for Lord Gauri.
  • Post this, you will move towards majestic Kedarnath peak at an astonishing height of 3584 meters near Mandakini River. The Kedarnath is a famous Lord Shiva temple lying amidst the magnificent snow-capped Himalayan ranges.
  • Have your breakfast and begin the trek of 14 km to the Kedarnath temple from Gauri kund. You can indulge in ponies or palanquin rides to make your journey comfortable.
  • Continue your journey towards Kedarnath post lunch.
  • On reaching the temple, worship and bow down to the almighty Lord Shiva. The view will surely treat your eyes.
  • You will join evening aarti at Kedarnath, when the entire valley is loaded with the sound of ringing bells and prayers providing peace to the soul.
  • After an enlightened spiritual day, have a delicious dinner.
  • Stay overnight in the hotel at Kedarnath Retire for the day.

Day 7 - Kedarnath to Guptkashi

  • Early morning you will join Pooja to one of the 12 jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva.
  • You will seek the captivating beauty of the temple situated against the setting of the grand Kedarnath range.
  • Have a filling breakfast and get ready to head towards Gaurikund.
  • Reach Gauri kund and soak into the magical water, get away from the fatigue.
  • Return to the hotel at Guptkashi and have dinner, have a sound sleep and refuel for the next day.

Day 8 - Guptkashi to Badrinath

  • Get up early and proceed your journey towards Badrinath post breakfast.
  • Upon reaching Badrinath, you can explore the backdrop of the Neelkanth mountain peak and the confluence of river Alaknanda and Mandakini.
  • You will be spellbound with its unparalleled charm of Badrinath, and check in to the hotel.
  • Have a sumptuous dinner at the hotel and have a sound sleep.

Day 9 - Badrinath Temple Visit

  • Relish delicious breakfast in the morning, you will start the journey towards Badrinath temple, the famous shrine of Lord Badri Vishal.
  • You have to walk a kilometre between the beautiful valley and river stream.
  • Before visiting lord shiva temple, you can dip in the water of Tapt Kund; a hot water spring believed to have medicinal values.
  • Next, you will visit the Badrinath Temple amidst Nar and Narayan mountain ranges. You will be delighted by the gorgeousness of this holy shrine showcasing the traditional Garhwali wooden architecture.
  • Get back to the hotel and have dinner and sleep peacefully.

Day 10 - Badrinath to Haridwar

  • Wake up super early in the morning to reach Haridwar on time.
  • Have a delectable breakfast and check out of the hotel.
  • End of trip with a basket full of beautiful memories.
